Who we are

David Randall has over 30 years experience as a leader, working with clients and their stakeholders to build projects that deliver from the ground up.

David’s extensive background across the tourism, destination management, public safety and night time economy sectors equips him with the skills to assemble project teams with expertise best suited to realise our client’s ambitions and make a positive difference. His career has spanned several sectors including:

Night Time Economy: David has worked on numerous projects to help create Night Time Economy strategies and action plans for UK destinations. Central to this work has been stakeholder consultation by way of interviews, surveys and citizens assemblies, and building on global best practice. He also supports the Best Bar None accreditation scheme for licensed premises.

Safeguarding: David is part of the Ask for Angela team delivering safer socialising initiatives throughout the UK and beyond. He has also worked with Westminster City Council to develop an accreditation scheme for local businesses that supports reducing violence against women and girls as part of the Westminster After Dark strategy.

Destination Management: David set up the Destination Management Company for Northamptonshire, assembling a board of public and private sector directors, creating strategy and leading delivery. He went on to establish a one stop shop for economic development in the county including tourism and inward investment and led trade mission to Europe, the USA and Hong Kong.

Arts and Culture: David was the inaugural chair of the Northampton Festival Company, setting up a not for profit and recruiting a board to oversee delivery of an impactful cultural programme. He has mentored and assisted numerous individuals and organisations in the arts to win funding and develop DEI strategies.

Sustainable Tourism: David assembled a team that worked with the global network of UNESCO geoparks to create a brand that supports sustainable tourism, benefiting local communities. He also worked with the English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark to create and deliver a pandemic recovery plan.

Conferencing and Events: David successfully bid for European funding to set up the Nottingham Event Team in partnership with local hoteliers to address market failure by attracting major conferences to the city with associated economic impact. He also project managed the 7th International Conference for UNESCO Global Geoparks.
